Parents often experience transphobia. In an article on the Coming Out Stories blog, Tarald Stein reports of the transphobia he experienced from Norwegian Social Services when he came out as transgendered with frequent checks his child. The degree of transphobia in Norway is shown in greater detail on Tarald’s own blog where he reports that “The only doctor who could help me get my operations has got a warning from the health authorities and may loose his license if he continues to help people. I’m very sad because of this.”
